Review: Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off The Wall

The latest documentary on Michael Jackson features the journey that Michael took from being the sweet, uber talented child star/teen hearthrob and lead singer of the Jackson 5/Jacksons to the beginning of his legendary career. Few child stars become icons and legends in the field of entertainment and Michael was the most successful of them all. It is not highly documented about how Michael transitioned from one realm to another so well and successfully. Finally, Spike Lee's Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off The Wall, goes into the nitty gritty of how Michael made this rare and amazing transition. This review is not about what the documentary is focused on because it is obvious, but more about my honest opinions about certain things from the documentary. Even though I loved the film, there were some things that I noticed or looked into that I could not ignore. Finally, I will let you all know why I think that Spike should not do any more MJ related documentaries after the one on Thriller album.

Random Thoughts Part 11

I think we all can agree that we want to make sure that Michael's legacy is being preserved the correct way so that people can truly understand why Michael was and will always be a legend. Part of his legacy is his music and his music is the main reason why he has such a huge fanbase. Michael's music is sacred to millions of people and when big corporations, whose only goal is to make money, crapped on the music, the fans have to state and do something. Fans have done that but it seems what they have done and stated has more to do with wanting the music instead of accepting the truth. Katherine is Michael's beloved mother but at times, one have to question what is really going on. I will explain more on this post. Once again, certain people should not be writing books on Michael if they are not willing to accept who he really was and I will tell you why I stated that. Michael's children are showing the world that his legacy of giving back will never go unnoticed and his nephews continue to do right by him. I will also talk about why I feel that Bela Farkas is proof that Michael was truly a hero.

The AEG Trial: The Good, The Bad and The Uncalled For Verdict

When the Jacksons vs. AEG Wrongful Death Trial began in early April, I was ready to follow the trial and the updates in regards to the trial. During the jury selection process, the judge presiding the case, Judge Yvette Palazuelos, made the decision not to televised the trial. In order for anyone to know the updates of the trial, they would have to follow certain members of the media on facebook and twitter who were reporting the trial or read court transcripts. As the trial went on to its course, I started to know what Michael really went through at the hands of AEG. Then, on October 3rd, 2013, a verdict was reached and AEG won. This blog post will get into my feelings about the trial and why I decided to stop following the trial.

Random Thoughts Part 9

This is the ninth edition of Random Thoughts and there is so much to discuss. The theme for this edition is respect and honor.  You will read what I think about Timbaland working on music for an upcoming Michael Jackson project, Teddy Riley finally wakes up, why I feel that Randy's concerns for Paris is credible and Justin Timberlake does deserve the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. The tabloid media will always belittle Michael and the birthday love that Michael received on August 29th. Enjoy.

Random Thoughts Part 8

This is the eighth edition of the Random Thoughts series. I know, I do a lot of these types of entries but there are so many things going on that I have to comment on. The theme to this post will be foolishness. A former video girl makes a lame tribute, the foolishness of an "ex-wife" who continues to prove that Michael was right about her. The foolishness of rumors of the paternity of Michael's children, the Estate still releasing fake vocals on future MJ projects and not defending his name and legacy when a tabloid creates rumors.

X-Factor USA: Tribute To Michael

I found out the night before November 30th, X-Factor was going to do a Michael Jackson tribute show. So, as the uber fan, I could not wait for the show to start. I did missed at least 15 minutes of the show because I was coming home late from work. I did not see when Michael's brothers came on the stage and spoke about Michael.

Here is a recap of the show -
