Review: Making Michael Inside The Career of Michael Jackson

These days, there are books about Michael that talk about all kinds of things about him: his personal life, his money, his impact, the false allegations, his music. However, there are a few books that focused on what made Michael the legend that he became and at times, those books are not widely used when describing Michael's impact. Making Michael Inside the Career of Michael Jackson by Mike Smallcombe is a rare book that not only focuses on the music but his impact, the promotion, his mindset and his genius. However, as I continue to read the book, I started to realize that this book was like so many books on Michael: a disappointment. The book, towards the later parts of his life, starts to become tabloid and facts about what Michael was really going through with Sony Music, AEG and his finances was not something the author wanted to discuss.

The Truth About Deborah Jeanne Rowe (REVISED 2019)

When I started this blog in 2011, I never thought that I would ever discuss Deborah Jeanne Rowe because I did not think she would be mentioned at all after Michael was murdered. Michael stopped dealing with that woman long before he was killed and the two children he had with her, Michael Jr. and Paris, had no communication with her. Things changed when news surfaced in April of 2013 that Paris was seeing Debbie at her ranch/home. When I read the article, I was furious because once again, Michael's wishes for his children were being ignored. The last thing his children have to deal with was the wrath of Debbie. 

My "issue" with Debbie started in 1996 when I found out that Michael Jackson got married for the second time. I was shocked and I was hoping that his new wife would be of color. Boy, was I completely wrong. Not only was she not of color, she was unattractive and very happy. I saw probably the most strangest, oddest and off putting wedding picture of all time. Michael looked very unhappy and trapped while Debbie was elated and knew that she hit the jackpot. I knew that Michael was making a huge mistake and I also knew that the marriage was not real and that Debbie was bad news.

As the years went by, information regarding their "marriage" and the aftermath started to surface. The "union" between Michael and Debbie went from supposed "friendship" to downright terrible. This blog post is not about bashing Debbie Rowe and making her out to be the bad person - that has already happened. This blog post is about telling Michael's side of the story and in turn, forces the reader to consider that Debbie was with Michael for her own benefit. The facts and information that will be posted on here are not created from the sky but from actual evidence. I am expecting backlash from this because most of Michael's fans will never accept the fact that Debbie was the ultimate opportunist and did everything in her power to get what she wanted from Michael. I will accept the backlash. The root to this blog is to tell the truth about Michael and not lie to anyone about him. I would defeat the purpose of this blog if I ignored what Debbie did to Michael so that majority of Michael's fans can accept what I do. If that was the case, this blog would not exist. Anyway, read on and hopefully, you will see the real Deborah Jean Rowe.

The Truth About Karen Faye Kissinger

A couple of months ago, a fan/justice supporter contacted me because he/she wanted me to do a blog post on Karen Faye Kissinger, Michael's long time "make-up artist". I decided to decline his/her suggestion because I did not want my blog to focus on low lives like Karen. That all changed when I read a comment on twitter of what Karen stated about iconic film director Spike Lee.

I do not make it a secret on my blog that I am not a supporter or fan of Karen. I never saw the big deal about someone that did the make up for Michael. Karen Faye wanted to be known to the fan community and wanted to have that type of fame of being Michael's sole make up artist because, like so many disturbed people who were in Michael's life, Karen wanted to be close to Michael for her own selfish desires. 

If Karen Faye had to trash Michael's family, friends, women, fans, work ethnic and thinking patterns just to prove to people that she knows MJ, she would do that and has done that. Karen does not care about the aftermath of her actions because she feels that what she is doing is right and no one can tell her that she is wrong.

Michael had a history of surrounding himself with people who did not have his best interests. Now that Michael is gone, these people, like Karen, who have made it a mission to speak about Michael, have authority to do so. This blog post will focus on the damage that Karen has caused in the MJ fan community and, in some way, Michael's legacy. 

I will explore Karen's work on Michael by posting pictures of Michael during the Off the Wall (before Karen worked for Michael) era up until his death and show the reader how Michael went from a gorgeous, charming looking man to a strange looking, man-child with make up that looked like it came from a crayon box than an actual beauty shop. 

I will get into Karen's history of her unprofessional behavior from trashing Michael's family, to making sure women in Michael's life were gone, to befriending some of Michael's fans who, for the most part are unstable and obsessive. I will post what Karen stated about Spike Lee and why I feel that what she stated about him was dangerous and not proven to be true. I will discuss why I feel that Karen working for Gloria Allred shows how much she never cared about Michael. Finally, I will discuss other celebrity make up artists/hairstylists who are professionals, studied their craft and decided to serve the public by using their craft to help others instead of going on social networking sites and telling their client's/employers personal situations to the world.

$30M - Is It Enough?

This week, the Michael Jackson Estate released documents to the media of the payment that Katherine Jackson and Michael three children, along with unnamed charities will be receiving. In the documents, as told through this article -

The estate was able to pay off the debts that MJ had before his murder through the "This Is It" movie. They were able to refinance the catalogues that MJ had, MiJac and the Sony/ATC catalogue. The article also states that since Michael's murder, the estate has made over $310 million dollars.
